Plaid in the Park

Looking for some Scottish entertainment? Love to hear bagpipes or dance the Highland Fling? Look no further than your own backyard! Kilts, bagpipes, Highland dancers and much, much more can be found in Mount Dora's beautiful Sunset Park. Great fun for the entire family. Grab your kilt and head to Plaid in the Park!

Chess Club

All ages (children 8 years+, with parent/guardian) are welcome at our free Chess Club at the Simpson Farmhouse. All skill levels are welcome, including beginner. Group led by a Chess Master. Chess sets are supplied but feel free to bring your own. Held at the Simpson Farmhouse. Sponsored by the Mount Dora Library Association. No registration required.

Chef Warren - Plant-Based Cooking

Learn to create chicken breasts, nuggets, pork chops, beef stew and sandwiches with seitan, the “wheat meat”. And this is huge – these will actually taste like the real thing – and all attendees sample the entrees once they’re prepared! Learn more about a plant-based diet from the Plant Powerful Community Group, which meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 3:00pm and discusses and samples plant-based foods.
