1. How do I apply for a city job?

In all instances, an employment application will be required when applying for a city job opening. Employment applications and other required documentation may be downloaded from or filled out on the city’s website. Job Opportunities

Job opportunities will be posted on the city’s website when a vacancy exists or is anticipated. Employment applications, resumes, and applicable certifications will only be accepted for posted openings. Job Opportunities

3. Can a resume be submitted in place of an application?

A resume can be submitted with an application, but cannot take the place of a completed application.

4. Can I apply for a position that is not currently advertised?

We only accept applications for current, posted job openings.

5. Is there an application deadline?

In most instances, applications will be accepted until a position is filled. If a closing date for a particular position is established, it will be listed on the job posting. In such cases, applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on the specified closing date. Once the job closes, applications will no longer be accepted under any circumstances.
