With all the money and effort being spent on Lincoln and Tremain Greenways, how can we overlook such an eyesore right in the middle of these projects and our neighborhood. Some landscaping to soften fence line would be a great improvement. And how about spotlighting some local artists to paint the water tower itself? It's been done in other cities.

Donnelly Park is at the heart of our beautiful downtown, and it should be a showcase of beautiful green space. The tennis court makes little sense because it takes a lot of area for the enjoyment of two, MAYBE 4 people at a time, and it's either underutilized all together, or you have 2 people using it and everyone else has to wait. The lawn bowling already has a large club a few blocks away. Can't these facilities be moved to an area that's more accessible to others than the few who live in the commercial core? Donnelly Park tries to be too many things in too little space. A larger green space can be used for many purposes during special events. It can be used for picnics, or just sitting there, taking in the beauty.
