Black History Month Kick-off!

Please join us as we celebrate Black History month! The film titled Banished (2007) will be shown at W.T. Bland Public Library. This film recovers the forgotten history of racial cleansing when African Americans were driven from their homes by violent mobs. Moderated by Ozell Ward, host of the African American Film Series in Mount Dora. New books written by Black authors will be on display for the month of February 2022. Make sure you don’t miss the screening of Oh Freedom After While Sunday, February 27, 2022 @ 3:00pm Martin Luther King, Jr. Center No registration is required for this free program. Refresments will be served, complements of the Mount Dora Library Association.
