Dave Scott was hired by the Mount Dora Police in March of 2009 as the Property and Evidence Custodian. In October of 2011, he became the Professional Standards Manager and later was promoted to The Special Services Division Manager in January 2014. His duties include the planning, direction, management, and oversight of Property & Evidence, Emergency Management, Special Events Planning, Facilities, Police Fleet, Law Enforcement Certifications (FDLE), Department Inspections and Internal Affairs.
Dave Scott is a Law Enforcement professional with over 30 years of experience. He has worked in a variety of assignments which include investigations, patrol, incident command, emergency management, administrative services, labor relations and support services. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, and has attended over 900 hours of job related training courses.
