About Deputy Chief Robert Bell

Deputy Chief Robert Bell has proudly served with the Mount Dora Police Department since 1993. Prior to being promoted to Deputy Chief of Police in 2013, he commanded each of the three bureaus within the agency.

Deputy Chief Bell has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration, has attended the Florida Executive Development Seminar and many other advanced leadership and command courses. He has been awarded numerous awards throughout his career, including Lake County Officer of the Year in 2001.

He is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the Florida Police Chief’s Association, the Central Florida Criminal Justice Association, and the West Central Florida Police Chief’s Association. Deputy Chief Bell is also the Chairman of the Mount Dora Heroes Foundation and a proud Mount Dora Kiwanian.
