First in the Nation

The Mount Dora Police Department was the first law enforcement agency in the nation to receive full accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). “First in the Nation” is proudly displayed on our agency vehicles. In 2019 the department received   the coveted "Excelsior" level of Accreditation by the Florida Police Accreditation Coalition
