The Mount Dora Fire Department consists of highly trained men and women dedicated to serving the citizens and visitors of Mount Dora with quality-based fire and emergency service, medical assistance, fire prevention, and public education.

Our department is made up of one Fire Chief, two Deputy Fire Chiefs, one Administrative Coordinator, one Fire Inspector, six Shift Lieutenants and sixteen Firefighters who are also trained EMTs and Paramedics.
We provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) and deliver the highest level of care available outside a hospital emergency department. A wide array of diagnostic equipment including a defibrillator, a cardiac monitor/pacer and pulse oximetry coupled with a variety of medications means victims of sudden illness, especially sudden cardiac illness, receive the treatment they need to survive prior to being transported by Lake EMS to the hospital emergency department.
