Overview of Elections
The following information does not necessarily constitute all information contained in the City of Mount Dora Charter and Code of Ordinances on this subject. Electors
Any person who is a resident of the city, who has qualified as an elector of this state, and who registers in the manner prescribed by law shall be an elector of the city.
Nonpartisan Elections
All elections for the office of City Council shall qualify with the City Clerk during the qualification period.
Qualifying
Candidates for elected office shall qualify with the Office of the City Clerk in the manner established by ordinance consistent with the laws of the State of Florida. In order to qualify, a candidate shall file forms adopted by the City Council for that purpose.
Removal
Elected officers may be removed from office pursuant to the laws of the State of Florida.
