Utility Customer Service
About the Department
The Utility Customer Service Department is responsible for providing prompt, courteous, and efficient service for the city’s utility customers and other city departments. Customer Service handles applications for new and existing services relating to electric, water, wastewater, and sanitation.

Responsibilities include:
  • Business tax receipts
  • Cashier functions
  • Collections
  • Customer correspondence
  • Customer records
  • Data entry
  • Maintaining utility information pertaining to meter readings
  • Meter service work orders
  • Preparing utility bills
  • Rental property licensing

Objective
The objective of Customer Service is to maintain a friendly, helpful, and professional working relationship with our citizens and other departments within the city. Our goal is to provide our citizens with accurate utility bills and information pertaining to our services.
