Robin started with the City of Mount Dora on September 26, 2016 as the City Manager. Before she came to Mount Dora, Robin worked for the City of Oviedo as the Management Services Directors from January 2012 to September 2016.
In Oviedo, Robin's areas of expertise included Budgeting, Strategic Planning, Special Projects, and Acting City Manager as needed. Robin was also the Finance Director with the City of Winter Garden from June 2008 until January 2012. Functions/departments within Finance included Customer Service, Utility Billing, Purchasing, Meter Readers, Strategic Planning, and general Accounting/Finance Functions.
Robin also worked at the City of Titusville as a Finance Manager and Budget Officer between September 2002 and June 2008. Robin was also employed by Parrish Medical Center as the Corporate Accountant for a couple of years; and served on the Brevard County School board as their Budgeting and Project Manager for the Certified Energy Program for five years. Robin was also employed by EG&G Florida at Kennedy Space Center for just short of 10 years as a Project Manager of Capital Projects and Launch Readiness System programing.
Robin grew up in Titusville as a late teen and lived there until relocating here in January 2017. She is originally from Dobson or Mt. Airy, North Carolina also known as Mayberry, North Carolina. Robin has been married to Irv Hayes for 31 years and has 3 adult boys with one granddaughter.
