The Modernism Museum Mount Dora is pleased to announce its new exhibition, Space Oddities: The Sequel. The exhibition opens on Tuesday, July 9th and will run until mid-2020.
Space Oddities: The Sequel expands upon the Modernism Museum’s exhibition of mind-bending Post-Modern designs created by the radical 1980s design collective known as Memphis. This exhibit features hundreds of new Memphis design objects never-before displayed at the Modernism Museum.
A members-only opening reception will be held on Wednesday, July 10th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM in the Modernism Museum gallery. This event is only open to 3MD Members; however, memberships will be available for purchase at the event. Individual-level Memberships start at $40 and several levels are available. Working in both figurative and non-representational modes, Tonape focuses on nature. His paintings are “melodies” orchestrated by the artist, rooted in the visual rhythms of gesture and color, recorded in the subject matter.

After an outstanding performance with Lauren Mitchell, The Modernism Museum Mount Dora is pleased to welcome the very highly requested Bill Buchman’s Art of Jazz Quartet. This quartet will feature Bill Buchman on piano, Rick Aaron on flute, Rob Fors on bass, and Skip Conkling on drums. The concert will take place in the Modernism Museum Gallery on Saturday, January 11 at 7:00 PM (doors open at 6:30 PM). A sparkling and white wine reception, which begins at 6:30pm, is included with your admission.

Learn how to explore your computer and not get into trouble. Learn why a "mouse" is called a mouse and in what year the word "computer" was first used.
This class takes place in our Technology Lab, with PCs provided.
