    Celebrate National Poetry Month at our Warner Brown Annual Poetry Contest Poetry in the Garden, on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at 2:00pm. Award Ceremony Program: Laura Sobbott Ross, Lake County Library System's first Poet Laureate, will read selections from her own poetry as well as make a few remarks. We will also be honoring local poet Warner Brown, for whom this annual contest is named. Poetry Contest finalists' entries will be read prior to the awarding of prizes. Poetry Contest All are welcome to enter the contest. Entrants must have a Lake County Library System library card. There are 2 age categories: Below 18 and 18 & Over. The following prizes will be awarded in both age categories: 1st place $50 2nd place: $30 3rd place: $20 Honorable mention(s) The Submission deadline is Sunday, March 24, 2019.     The Help & Healing for Parents of Estranged Adult Children is a monthly support group meeting at the Simpson Farmhouse on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 6:00 PM. Join with other adults to share insights, greater understanding and ideas on grieving and healing. Moderated discussion format is loosely based upon the book Done with the Crying, by Sheri McGregor, M.A. No registration required; adult refreshments will be served.
