  1. New exhibition at the Modernism Museum-- Space Oddities: The Sequel

    July 9, 2019, 10:00 AM - July 1, 2020, 5:00 PM @ Modernism Museum Mount Dora

    The Modernism Museum Mount Dora is pleased to announce its new exhibition, Space Oddities: The Sequel. The exhibition opens on Tuesday, July 9th and will run until mid-2020. Space Oddities: The Sequel expands upon the Modernism Museum’s exhibition of mind-bending Post-Modern designs created by the radical 1980s design collective known as Memphis. This exhibit features hundreds of new Memphis design objects never-before displayed at the Modernism Museum. A members-only opening reception will be held on Wednesday, July 10th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM in the Modernism Museum gallery. This event is only open to 3MD Members; however, memberships will be available for purchase at the event. Individual-level Memberships start at $40 and several levels are available.     Using your own iPad and/or iPhone, learn how to take photographs, edit photographs, and save and store photographs. You'll learn how to use all the features of Photos as well as create a Slideshow from images on your device. Learn how to: Attach your photos to emails and save photos from your emails. Attach your photos to text messages (and save those you receive). Assign photos to names in your Contacts Create your own photo album, arrange photos in your album, delete photos and entire albums Crop your photos, adjust brightness and adjust colors Use photos for your opening wallpaper and background of Apps Write on photos, names, arrows, circles, etc. Even if you've owned your iPad or iPhone for awhile, you'll pick up storage management, editing, and other tips. Class size is limited to eight students to provide hands-on help and training.

Mah Jongg is a tile-based game that was developed in China during the Qing dynasty and has spread throughout the world since the early 20th century. Mah Jongg sets and cards are provided.
