The Modernism Museum Mount Dora is pleased to announce its new exhibition, Space Oddities: The Sequel. The exhibition opens on Tuesday, July 9th and will run until mid-2020.
Space Oddities: The Sequel expands upon the Modernism Museum’s exhibition of mind-bending Post-Modern designs created by the radical 1980s design collective known as Memphis. This exhibit features hundreds of new Memphis design objects never-before displayed at the Modernism Museum.
A members-only opening reception will be held on Wednesday, July 10th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM in the Modernism Museum gallery. This event is only open to 3MD Members; however, memberships will be available for purchase at the event. Individual-level Memberships start at $40 and several levels are available. “Plein Air” is French for painting out-of-doors. For one week in November MDCA hosts a plein air paint out which brings artists from all over the area to Mount Dora to paint the scenic lakefront and quaint cottages. The work from the Paint Out is exhibited and awards are given for the top three works. Opening reception: November 8th, 2019 6-8 PM.

Enjoy a full weekend of Scottish Festival food, drinks games and so much more! The event has now grown into a two-day event that will be celebrated on Sat, Nov 16th and Sun Nov 17th. Hours 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Highland Games will be in Evans Park where you can watch traditional Scottish athletic events and are FREE to watch. Vendors, Scottish Clans and Society Booths along with food, drinks and Pipers will be in Donnelly Park.
$5 Kids and Seniors
Military members are free with ID.
You can purchase tickets online or at the gate the day of the event.
