  1. New exhibition at the Modernism Museum-- Space Oddities: The Sequel

    The Modernism Museum Mount Dora is pleased to announce its new exhibition, Space Oddities: The Sequel. The exhibition opens on Tuesday, July 9th and will run until mid-2020. Space Oddities: The Sequel expands upon the Modernism Museum’s exhibition of mind-bending Post-Modern designs created by the radical 1980s design collective known as Memphis. This exhibit features hundreds of new Memphis design objects never-before displayed at the Modernism Museum. A members-only opening reception will be held on Wednesday, July 10th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM in the Modernism Museum gallery. This event is only open to 3MD Members; however, memberships will be available for purchase at the event. Individual-level Memberships start at $40 and several levels are available.   2. Annual Plein Air Paint Out and Exhibit

    “Plein Air” is French for painting out-of-doors. For one week in November MDCA hosts a plein air paint out which brings artists from all over the area to Mount Dora to paint the scenic lakefront and quaint cottages. The work from the Paint Out is exhibited and awards are given for the top three works. Opening reception: November 8th, 2019 6-8 PM.

  4. Comprehensive Plan Update Open House

    November 14, 2019, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM @ Auditorium

    The City of Mount Dora is hosting a Mount Dora Comprehensive Plan Update Open House. We will be sharing information on Survey Results, Emerging Themes, Evaluation, Appraisal report and the Envisioning Update and the next steps that will be taken. The Comprehensive Plan is the policy document that provides the blueprint for the future direction of the City. The plan touches on a range of topics from land use to housing environmental stewardship. We are updating the plan to make sure it is evolving to stay in line with citizens values. The City seeks your input at this public meeting. Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. The Community Building at 520 North Baker Street
