  2. The New World Music Band: Caribbean Salsa, Live at the Museum!

    January 26, 2019, 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM @ Modernism Museum Mount Dora

    Modernism Museum Mount Dora will be hosting the New World Music Band, led by flute and saxophone virtuoso Gabriel de David! The concert will take place in the museum gallery on Saturday, January 26th at 7:00pm. A sparkling and white wine reception is included, which begins at 6:30pm. The New World Music Band plays Caribbean salsa and will feature a quartet of guitar, drums and percussion, all led by Gabriel de David on flute and saxophone. Gabriel de David has been a professional musician and teacher for more than 25 years. He holds a master’s degree in music education and has played with many renowned Puerto Rican salsa groups. Tickets are $20 for 3MD members and $30 for nonmembers and includes the sparkling and white wine reception which precedes the performance.   1. Beginning Ukulele

    New to the ukulele? Interested in jamming with other adults? Learn and play together in our new ukulele class for adults and explore chords, strumming techniques, and learn easy songs. Please bring your own ukulele to class. Teens and tweens are also welcome. Ukulele class meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:00 PM (in the Library) and on the fourth Saturday of the month at 10:00 AM (at the Simpson Farmhouse).

  1. Sweet Peas a Baby Story Time

    January 26, 2019, 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM @ Children's Program Room

    Saturdays at 10:30 am, beginning January 26, 2019. Announcing a special story time for babies up to 15 months as well as expectant parents. Meet other caregivers while supporting your baby’s early development needs. Staff have been specially trained on the latest best practices for infant and in utero story times. Infant story times are structured differently because the needs of babies are so different! Toddlers who are brought to this story time will have a special role as well. Thanks to the Friends of the Library, this story time has new books and new developmentally appropriate toys. Parents and babies are welcome to stay for play and explore following the story time.
