Ginny Stibolt, a life-long gardener with an MS degree in Botany from the University of Maryland, moved to northeast Florida in 2004. All of her previous experience and education did not help one bit when she tried her hand at Florida gardening. So she opened her botany texts, bought some Florida-based books, joined the Florida Native Plant Society and began to research Florida gardening. Her first book, "Sustainable Gardening for Florida," was published by the University Press of Florida in 2009 and was nominated for book of the year by the American Horticultural Society.
Since then, she has published four additional books on Florida gardening, sustainable gardening and organic gardening methods.
