  1. Black Bears - What You Need to Know

    August 1, 2018, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Community Room

Mount Dora and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission want our residents to be informed and educated about black bear activities, habits and safety for your home and neighborhood. Alyssa Simmons, Area Bear Biologist with FWC, will be hosting the educational workshop and we encourage as many people as possible to attend. There will be handouts and literature for everyone to take back to your home or business. The more informed we can be about Florida's black bears, the more we can live in harmony with them! After the presentation, there will be time for a Question and Answer session. All are welcome; no registration required.
