  1. Chess Club

    April 7, 2018, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Study Room

    Come watch, learn, and play chess. All skill levels and ages are welcome! Beginners will learn basic moves and then be paired with a player. Beginners are especially welcome! Studies have shown that chess may raise students' IQ and help prevent Alzheimer's. Chess is call "the game of kings" and will boost your creativity, memory, and problem-solving skills. Drop in anytime between 10:00am and noon, on the first and third Saturday of each month. No registration required.

  2. Mount Dora Dulcimer Society

    Join the Mount Dora Dulcimer Society at your Library on the first Saturday of the month. All acoustic instruments are welcome: violin, guitar, autoharp, ukulele, etc. This group is open to all and registration is not required.

  3. 1st Annual Plant & Seed Swap

    April 7, 2018, 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM @ Nunan Butterfly Garden

    Join fellow gardeners in the Nunan Butterfly Garden at the Library for our first annual Plant & Seed Swap. Set-up begins at 10:00am, with the Swap scheduled for 10:30am. Swap Rules: Seeds should be in small plastic bags, with labels. Plants (except bulbs & bromeliads) should be in containers and cuttings in water. Label plants with name, annual/perennial, sun/shade, size, bloom color, etc. Bring plastic shopping bags or boxes for your new plants. Please dig plants in advance of the swap so they can recover and water well. Free packet of milkweed seeds for each attendee! "Fancy plants" door prizes! Sponsored by the Mount Dora Library Association.
