  2. “Bra-Vo” Breast Cancer Awareness and Fundraiser Exhibit

    Fundraising exhibit for Breast Cancer Awareness. Artists are given “bust” forms that are decorated using media of their choice. Proceeds from sales of the artwork benefit go to cancer research. Opening reception: October 12th, 2018 6-8 PM.

  3. Cafezz Trio Live at the Museum

    October 6, 2018, 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM @ Modernism Museum Mount Dora

    Modernism Museum Mount Dora will be hosting the Cafêzz Trio. The concert will take place in the museum gallery on Saturday, October 6th at 7:00pm. A sparkling and white wine reception is included, which begins at 6:30pm. Cafêzz is a Puerto Rican based Latin Jazz & World Fusion band. The band's style is very eclectic, embracing a wide array of Caribbean, Brazilian, Latin, Jazz, Funk, Rock, Folk and Classical influences. The band name “Cafêzz” is a combination of the words café (coffee in Spanish) and jazz. A sparkling and white wine reception is included, which begins at 6:30pm.

  1. Chess Club

    Come watch, learn, and play chess. All skill levels and ages are welcome! Beginners will learn basic moves and then be paired with a player. Beginners are especially welcome! Studies have shown that chess may raise students' IQ and help prevent Alzheimer's. Chess is call "the game of kings" and will boost your creativity, memory, and problem-solving skills. Drop in anytime between 10:00am and noon, on the first and third Saturday of each month. No registration required.

    Join the Mount Dora Dulcimer Society at your Library on the first Saturday of the month. All acoustic instruments are welcome: violin, guitar, autoharp, ukulele, etc. This group is open to all and registration is not required.
