Gyotaku is a form of "nature printing" that began in Japan in the 1800's. Japanese fishermen would record the fish they caught by covering the fish in ink and then placing paper on top of it. When the paper is pulled away, a fish print is revealed!
Our kids’ workshop on Gyotaku will be Saturday, July 22nd at the Modernism Museum Mount Dora. We’ll be using rubber fish replicas and paint to make our fish prints!
The cost of the workshop is $10 per child. Please visit www.modernismmuseum.org/events for more information or call (352) 385-0034 to reserve your child’s seat.
