Library - Adult Calendar

  1. Beginning iPad & iPhone

    November 14, 2017, 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM @ W T Bland Public Library

    Bring your Apple iPad and/or Apple iPhone to this class for beginners. You'll learn the basics: battery management, all about settings, software updates, installing apps, Safari, security, and more. This is a two class series, scheduled for the second and fourth Tuesday morning of each month. Registration for the first class automatically includes attendance at the follow-up class. Even if you've owned your iPad or iPhone for awhile, you're sure to pick up new tips, features, and safeguards. New attendees receive priority registration but repeat graduates are welcome!

  2. Citizenship Class

    Would you like free help in preparing for citizenship? Please join our Citizenship Class for friendly help and advice. Class students will work with our volunteer instructor to prepare for the Citizenship process. Students will go through the application form to prepare for the verbal interview and written test. This includes speaking, reading, and writing in English and learning Civics (History and Government). Enrolled students receive free preparation materials. This is a five-week series class, taught by an instructor who became a U.S. citizen in 2005. Please register at the Circulation Desk to confirm your participation (no paperwork is required).

    Don't miss an authentic campfire experience with Jim Sawgrass of the Muskogee Creek Tribe on the grounds of the Library. This is a very special event, scheduled only every other year! Learn about Native American culture, with an authentic encampment atmosphere. All ages are welcome; no registration required. Please bring your own seating. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library
