The City of Mount Dora is proud to present our 2nd  annual Juneteenth Festival on Saturday, June 23, 2018. From 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., there will be a block party to celebrate diversity and culture in the Historic Grandview area.

The festival will be held in the area between Grant and Florida Avenues. There will be vendors, food, beer and wine, and music from E-Turn, Gospel and Get Ready – A Motown Experience.

Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States and has actually been an African American tradition since the late 19th century.

Grandview Street will be closed between Grant and Florida Avenues from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Shuttle service and parking for the event will originate from Frank Brown Park, located at Frank Brown Sports Complex located at 1245 Pine Avenue.
