Reminder to Change Your Irrigation Schedule

Change is in the air. The days are shorter, the nights are longer and the weather is just a little bit cooler. But those are not the only changes around here. The City of Mount Dora Public Works & Utilities Department wants to remind our customers that it is also time to change your irrigation schedule. Beginning Sunday, November 6, the seasonal watering schedule goes into effect. Irrigation is restricted to one day per week. This seasonal restriction coincides with Eastern Standard Time, from the first Sunday in November until the second Sunday in March.

Your weekly watering day is determined by your street address. Residential irrigation is allowed on Saturday at addresses that end in an odd number or have no address. Residential irrigation is allowed on Sunday at addresses that end in an even number. Nonresidential irrigation is allowed on Tuesday. Regardless of whether your address ends in an odd or even number, irrigation is prohibited between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
