    On behalf of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), we invite you to a public information meeting regarding the Wekiva Parkway Sections 3A & 3B Construction Projects in Lake County. The public meeting is being held to review the construction plans and schedule for work to begin this year. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 24, 2017, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Mount Dora Community Building located at 520 N. Baker Street, Mount Dora, Florida 32757. The meeting is an informal open house where plans will be available for review and project staff will be available to address questions.

  10. Solar Eclipse Program

    On Monday, August 21, 2017, a total solar eclipse will cross the continental U.S. The last time a total eclipse crossed the U.S. from sea to sea was June 8, 1918. In the U.S., millions will gather along a tiny ribbon less than 100 miles to see totality, the complete blocking out of the sun by the Moon which will reveal the solar corona. The rest of the entire country will be able to see a partial eclipse, which the peak viewing time is anticipated in the Orlando area at 2:45 PM. Refreshments will be served.     Learn how to use Excel to organize numbers and text in a spreadsheet format. Excel spreadsheets can be used for budgets, work and school projects, record-keeping, lists, inventories, and more. By the end of this class you should be able to create and format a spreadsheet; enter and edit data; and use basic formulas to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers in a horizontal row or vertical column. Attendees will use PCs in the W.T. Bland Public Library Technology Lab, which have Microsoft Excel 2013 installed.
