At the March 21, 2017 City Council meeting, Council Member Mark Slaby gave a presentation on standards of maintenance and care based off information he received from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) regarding maintenance standards for roads, sidewalks, and any parking surfaces.
Recently, City Council has discussed construction of a new City complex that would accommodate the Public Works and/or a Parks and Recreation facility. Staff explored several alternatives and presented those to City Council for additional discussion during the February 9, 2017 Work Session.
On January 21, 2017, the City Council began moving the City into the next phase of the Strategic Plan by refining the initial one (1) to two (2) year goals and objectives that were preliminary established in the Strategic Plan Report:

The City Council determined measures to clearly outline the parameters and those measures will be used by the City to define success in accomplishing the goals and objectives as seen in the Strategic Plan Update Report.
During the January 17, 2017 City Council Meeting, John M. Jones and George M. Kramer with Littlejohn Engineering Associates gave a presentation to further develop an understanding of how to increase predictability of the Innovation District for future development.
At the December 14, 2016 Work Session, the following items were presented for discussion:
Economic Growth – Retail Strategies gave a presentation using the data compiled in the 2013 Analysis of Proposed Mount Dora Employment Center for Mount Dora and Lake County and the 2014 Economic Development District Master Plan for the City of Mount Dora/Lake County both reports by Renaissance Planning Group. Matt Petro, Chief Development Officer for Retail Strategies gave the presentation.
2. Lobbyist Update - Peebles & Smith gave a presentation as to the services the Lobbyist represent and the future services they
will be able to provide. John Wayne Smith made the presentation for Peebles & Smith.
3. Construction and/or Renovation of City buildings - John Peters, Public Services Director gave a presentation to review possible
sites and plans for several of the planned City buildings.
