In March 2015, City Council approved an Ordinance No. 2015-06 establishing a moratorium on the collection of water, sewer, police and fire impact fees for a one year term.
The economic downtown has negatively impacted many strands of the local economy. Mount Dora City Council feels the creation of employment opportunities for its residents is a high local priority and hopes the fee waivers will encourage commercial investment in the core commercial areas. The City will waive water, sewer, fire and police impact fees for new non-residential development projects within the Downtown and Northeast CRA Districts. Also included is the waiver of the $2,000 site plan review and $1,000 minor site plan fee.
