The Parks and Recreation Department offers many department-sponsored events throughout the year. In addition, there are several major events each year that are sponsored by the City of Mount Dora as well as the Mount Dora Area Chamber of Commerce, VisitMountDora, the Mount Dora Center for the Arts, the Mount Dora Lions Club, and other area organizations.

Renninger's Antique Extravaganza

42nd Annual Arts Festival

A juried fine arts festival, for art lovers, casual festival-goers and families, nothing compares to the Mount Dora Arts Festival. In addition to the endless rows of fine art, including oil paintings, watercolors, acrylics, clay, sculpture and photography, the festival features local and regional musical entertainment at a main stage in Donnelly Park. 8th Annual African American History Festival

February 11, 2017

Celebrate Black History Month with the African American History Festival from 10 am to 5 pm at Cauley Lott Park.  The festival will be hosted by UCAN Leaders of Lake County will include entertainment, vendors and parade at 10 am beginning at the corner of Tremain Street and Lincoln Avenue and concluding at Cauley Lott Park.  For information, please contact (352) 455-4060.

Resurrection 5K Run

This is a 5K run to benefit Hand in Hand Lake County, Inc. 40th Annual Christmas Tour of Homes

This is a self driving tour to see the interior of 10 beautifully decorated homes for the holidays on Deer Island, Tavares. 

Saturday 2 - 7pm and Sunday 11am - 4pm

Tickets are $20 online or $25 at the door. Optional $20.00 for lunch at the Deer Island Clubhouse. (includes entrée, soft drink, dessert , tax and tip)
