Burial Spaces & Above Ground Niches

Burial Spaces



A burial space is 5 feet in width (60”) by 10 feet (120”) in length. The purchase of a burial space allows for the interment of one individual. Interment rights may be purchased for the burial of additional cremated remains. A single burial space permits up to one full burial with four additional cremated remains. Administrative fees must be paid for each interment.

The ownership of a burial space can be transferred from one individual to another by City of Mount Dora Parks and Recreation staff only. The initial Certificate of Interment will be voided and a new certificate will be prepared and mailed to the new owner. The administrative fee must be paid at the time of transfer.

Above-Ground Niches


An above-ground niche inside diameter is 10 inches (10") in width by 10 inches (10") in length by 10 inches (10") in depth. The urn can be no larger than these dimensions. The purchase of an above-ground niche allows for the inurnment of one cremated remain. Engraving and administrative fees must both be paid after the date of death but before inurnment.
