SCOTTISH HIGHLAND FESTIVAL FAQ![]() Q. Are pets allowed? A. Yes, although with large crowds, this is not considered a pet event. Q. When is beer available at the festival? A. Beer sales begin at 10:00 am on both Saturday and Sunday. Q. Do you sell wine? A. Yes. Q. May I exit an event area with an alcoholic beverage to visit other downtown festival areas? A. Yes, all three event areas are within the downtown entertainment district which allows alcohol to be carried. Q. How do I purchase tickets? A. Tickets may be purchased online at http://tinyurl.com/mountdorascottickets Q. Are there discounts for Veterans? A. Yes, all members of the Military that are active and non-active have no admission fee. Q. Is an admission ticket valid for both days? A. Tickets are valid for both days, an entrance bracelet will be required to enter on the second day. Q. Which park requires a ticket for admission? A. Donnelly Park requires a paid admission. Both days Elizabeth Evans Park and Saturday in Sunset Park do not require a paid admission. Q. Are coolers allowed? A. Yes, although coolers may be checked! Q. Do you provide chairs? A. There are chairs in front of the music stages and under the main tent. You may bring your own chairs or blankets. Please be respectful of others when using an "Umbrella chair." Q. What to do in case of rain? A. Well, we recommend more dancing & shopping! Our event is "rain or shine." Q. Is there RV camping available? A. Yes! Please see our Location page for details. Q. What about Press Passes? A. If you are interested in obtaining a Press Pass, please contact our Events Coordinator at carsonc@cityofmountdora.com. You will be required to provide photo identification. Q. What about drones? Can I bring my drone to video the event? A. Sorry, no. Drones are not allowed due to various safety and liability concerns. LOCATIONThe Mount Dora Scottish Highland Festival is held in beautiful downtown Mount Dora, the gateway to Lake County. If you live near one of the satellite parking areas we recommend walking or driving to one and taking our FREE shuttle bus. Remember to pick up a Festival Program, which includes a map and list of all scheduled Events--available at all Free Shuttle Bus locations and at the Main Gate. Parking DOWNTOWN PUBLIC PARKING LOTSSatellite shuttle parking: Lincoln Park – 1200 N. Unser Street, Mount Dora (Both Days) SPECIAL PARKING TAGSIf you are a vendor, athlete, dancer, entertainment, pipe band, staff, clan/sponsor etc. and were provided a colored parking tags, it MUST be displayed PROMINENTLY to gain access to your designated parking area. Your parking location and directions will be described and mapped on the back of your parking tag.
