Tim WIlson

Tim is the Economic Development Manager for the City of Mount Dora. Tim started with the City in August 2018 to lead the City’s economic development program. Promoting future development in the Wolf Branch Innovation District will be one of the priorities along with identifying opportunities for new businesses and growth in other areas the City.

Prior to joining the City, Tim worked for almost 30 years with the City of Altamonte Springs. He was a department director of Community Development, Growth Management and Mobility during his tenure with the City. Tim’s expertise and background in community planning and leading a local government department agency covered the full spectrum of topics including comprehensive planning, zoning, building, redevelopment, economic development, transportation planning, detailed area plans for activity centers and project management on public infrastructure improvements. Tim has over 35 years of local government work experience in the State of Florida.

Many of the planning programs and public improvements such as the Cranes Roost Park and Innovative City reuse wastewater program have received awards and recognitions from various professional organizations, state and federal agencies and private organizations that recognize local governments.

Tim obtained both his Bachelors of Science degree in Community Development and Masters in Public Administration from the Pennsylvania State University.
