Environmental & Public Works Director, Mark Rudowske is a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, but Watkinsville, Georgia is what he calls home, where he spent most of his youth.
He received a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Georgia where he also performed as a trombonist with the Redcoat Marching Band. His professional career includes engineering consultant, instructor and technical sales support for a major pump manufacturer. He moved to central Florida in 1992 where he applied his skills to environmental and biosolids management.
He came to Mount Dora in 2006 as Project Administrator in the City’s Engineering Division. He was appointed as the City’s ADA Coordinator in 2007 and Water/Wastewater Plants Manager in 2015. In 2018, Mr. Rudowske was promoted to Director of Mount Dora’s Environmental & Public Works Department. Mr. Rudowske resides in Ocala with his wife and daughter, now a student at UCF. In his free time, Mark enjoys teaching a Bible study class and continues playing trombone in the church orchestra.
