Garbage, Recycling and Bundled Yard Debris will be collected
a week in the City of Mount Dora by Waste Management.
Collections will be Monday through Friday and are divided into areas throughout the city. All services, garbage, recycling and yard waste, will be collected on the same day in your area. There will be a separate truck for each service. If your collection day falls on a holiday, your items will be picked up the next day.
The exception to this change is Condos and Apartments. Condos and Apartments serviced with garbage carts will remain on twice a week service on the current days of service.

Waste Management is prepared to take orders and deliver larger carts at this time. A few orders have come in and Waste Management has fulfilled those already. WM encourages residents who want larger carts to put their orders in. Normal delivery time is within 72 hours. If you have not ordered your new cart by October 1, 2018 it's okay. Everything will be collected outside the cart on the same day in the event of cart overflow condition.
Moving to this new schedule will not only save money for homeowners, but will reduce impact of waste and garbage on the environment.
